Emergency crews have found a missing autistic boy from northern Kanawha County.
Search crews found the boy just after 7:30pm. They had been searching for the boy since this afternoon.
West Virginia State Police say Carter Nichols wandered away from his home in the Gabe Road area near the Kanawha and Roane County line earlier Saturday afternoon. They say he is autistic and cannot answer to his name or respond.
We're told he was found in a cabin near Jim Schaffer's Camp. Investigators say the 7-year-old was trying to make popcorn when they found him.
