19 year old James Michael Williams is dead after being shot in chest. Charleston Police report that multiple shots were fired into a house at 800 Grant Street on the West Side. Neighbors say the shots rang out around 8:30 Tuesday evening.
Police will not say whether Williams was targeted or if the shooting was an accident. The shooting took place at the back of the apartment and at least one bullet went through the window.
Williams is no stranger to the law. He was arrested last month for allegedly giving a baby beer in a bottle.
Police are still looking for the shooter but at this time they have not released any specifics.
