In Court Man Charged with Hitting, Killing Wheelchair Bound Man in Court

The man accused of hitting and killing a Kenova man with his tractor trailer was in court Tuesday morning.
Michael Joyce waived his case to the grand jury. He is charged with felony negligent homicide and two misdemeanors in the death of Deris Scott.
Scott died last month after Joyce hit him with his semi-truck and threw him from his wheelchair as he crossed the street. Joyce traveled nearly a mile, dragging Scott's wheelchair, before another driver stopped him and told the South Carolina man he had hit Scott.
Joyce also had his bond reduced from $100,000 dollars to $25,000.
