120 trucks made in West Virginia will be headed for the state Department of Transportation's fleet. Hino Motors Manufacturing USA Incorporated made its first delivery on Friday at a ceremony at the company's plant in Williamstown. The plant opened in 2007. It now produces about 2500 trucks a year. The trucks West Virginia is buying are modified with dump bodies, snow plows and other equipment to handle a variety of road maintenance duties. State officials say the plant may have pulled the Parkersburg area out of the recession. The state was able to use some federal environmental money to help replace older polluting diesel trucks. Hino won the more than 12 million dollar bid to supply the trucks.
