EYEWITNESS NEWS ONLINE VIDEO C L I C K T O P L A Y
A half hour after being profiled on the Fugitve File on Eyewitness News at Six, John Paul Dennis is in the in the back of cruiser instead of behind the counter at the South Charleston Little Caesar's.
But it wasn't a simple arrest. As some deputies and marshals made their way to the pizza joint the keen eyes of Corporal J.S. Cochran spied a man in a Little Caesar's shirt walking down a backstreet.
"I approached the male and he identified himself as the suspect and I placed him in handcuffs without incident." says Cochran.
Meanwhile, the marshals were checking in at Little Caesar's
"Employees at Little Caesar's told us he left for a family emergency." explains Cochran.
Dennis was wanted for failure to appear for court after he allegedly manufactured and intended to deliver morphine and a powerful muscle relaxer called clonzepam.
After bidding adieu to a tearful girlfriend, Dennis was loaded up and taken to jail with what appeared to be flour still fresh on his shirt. He marks capture number 162 on the Fugitive Files.
But police didn't catch everyone we profiled.
