A majority of university students, nearly 80%, are sexually active.
So West Virginia University has rolled out the condom caravan in an attempt to curb the spread of STDs and unplanned pregnancies.

It's a virtual buffet of protection, different colors, textures and even flavors.
All for the bargain price of five for a dollar.

You might expect students to be shy about buying condoms in front of their peers but quite the contrary.
Freshman Rob Galloway says it's something to be proud of.

For the student who doesn't want to advertise, the discreet brown paper sack is provided.
Heaven Carroll, "You can stick it in your backpack before you walk out and no one will know."
Supplying condoms doesn't mean WVU condones sex.
The student wellness and health promotion is aimed at education.
Erin Beck, Well WVU, "We have information available about sexually transmitted infections, family planning, and about how to use a condom."
Of course, not every one agrees with the university selling condoms so openly.
Stephon Suggs says he'll keep shopping as long as they are selling.
