Jared Sigman and his neighbors on Wealthy Acres Dr. try and clear debris from their fence to keep the water moving.
"The creek needs to be cleaned out," Sigman said.
About two inches of rain fell in the area overnight causing creeks to rise. The high water kept firefighters very busy. One family unable to get out of their home for medical reasons had to be rescued by boat.
"Mostly we've been checking the well being of people in their homes," East Bank VFD Chief Tommy Tucker said.
Meanwhile, down in Ronda people find themselves once again flooded out.
"We had 18 to 20 inches of water in the house," Harold Smith said. "We had to evacuate this morning."
People said debris is the real problem. It backs up bridges, creating a dam, water has no place to go.
"Everytime we have high water it backs up at this bridge," Smith said. "When it hits the bridge we've got about 30 minutes to get our stuff moved."
Residents said they've telling officials for years about the problem. This time people noticed the bridge appears to be buckling because of the debris. People said something needs to be done to fix the flooding they feel can be avoided.
"It is not fun," Sigman said.
