The town of Pratt will not be getting help from the Regional Development Authority (RDA).
Pratt hoped for a $100,000 loan to begin fixing its troubled water and sewer system. But the RDA voted against giving Pratt the money.
County commissioner Kent Carper wants to see Pratt merge with the Chelyan and Upper Kanawha Valley Public Service Districts and argued against the loan.
Some Pratt residents say whatever ends up happening the important thing is they have a safe and reliable water and sewer system.
