Buffalo High school senior Tyler Clendenin campaigns for the upcoming Putnam County school bond.
"I would like the students in the county to come out and support a cause like his for me," Clendenin said about the reason he has decided to campaign in support of the measure.
A group of students and teachers took their message to the streets during the town's annual 4th of July parade.
"We have a captive audience," teacher Linda Hoffman said. "We can reach more people we would have trouble otherwise."
Supporters are hoping voters will approve the $56 million bond that will pay for a new Buffalo High School and four other schools. Bruce Seccurro, who lives in Hurricane, said new schools in all parts of Putnam County will make it a more attractive place for people to live.
