It's not just those driving cars that'll feel the sting of a toll hike, privately owned trucking companies are facing a hard blow.

New River Trucking in North Charleston frequents the turnpike to deliver shipments. President, Jeff Branham says the increase will cost him nearly 11 thousand dollars more a year to operate his business. It's an increase that he says could have been done differently.

While Branham says he doesn't feel his business will go under he does acknowledge things will have to be done a little differently to cut costs.
