A Saint Albans man is behind bars this morning after robbing a man of drugs. Robert Hayes is accused of robbing Leroy Elliot of his perscription Xanax. Elliot told police that he was riding his bike over the Amandaville bridge when Hayes and several other men and woman took his drugs from him. He was able to break free and ride his bike to the Go Mart to contact 9-1-1. When police arrived Hayes led police on a foot pursuit. He is being held at the South Central Regional Jail.
