One person is taken to the hospital after a fire breaks out at a high rise apartment building in St. Albans.
The fire started just after 9:30 in the morning in apartment 1103 at Riverview Towers. Paramedics took the woman living there to the hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation.
The buildings sprinkler system contained the fire until firefighters arrived.
No one else was injured. Dozens of residents were displaced as crews mopped up all the water.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
