It's been more than 6 years since 19 year old Samantha Burns disappeared.
Despite numerous searches, her body was never found but soon that could all change.
Monica Caison, CUE, "We are very hands on, they aren't just a picture on a website."
Monica Caison founded the Community United Effort Center for Missing Persons or CUE.
The group is in Huntington to once again look for the body of the missing Marshall University student.
Caison says she hopes this search will be successful because one of the men who killed Burns is aiding the efforts.
Chadrick Fulks and Brandon Basham are sitting on death row in Indiana for killing Burns and South Carolina woman Alice Donovan in 2002.
The duo escaped from a Kentucky prison and went on a 17 day crime spree; Burns was their first victim.
Caison says Fulks sent her a letter and map with the location of Donovan's remains.
CUE searched the area and found bones.
DNA testing will determine the deceased.
Caison says Fulks also gave her similar information about Burns.
Now, the group will comb the intersection of German Ridge and Haney's Branch Road near Huntington looking for Burns' remains and hopefully find peace for the family.
Monica Caison, "They really need that peace. It's a resolution to that part of the case because the person who was missing is now found."
