A Cross Lanes family is homeless after fire destroys their home on Stranahan Drive.
Fire crews responded to the blaze around 10 a.m. Sunday. Crews arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
Neighbors say the family that lived in the home left just about a half an hour before smoke started coming from the house. Firefighters efforts to put out the fire were complicated because there were no fire hydrants close by. Several different fire departments responded with tanker trucks to bring water to the scene.
