Al Arnold, the manager of Bob's Barbershop says his customers are being cut off... and he doesn't mean by his scissors.
Road barriers set up on Putnam Avenue in Hurricane are preventing his customers from being able to turn left into his parking lot and he's not the only one that's upset.
Arnold says, "About everybody that lived on Main Street would use this little short cut to get home and that's where a lot of names on my petition came from."
The petition has grown to nearly 700 names making it one of the biggest petition's in the town of Hurricane's history.
Arnold says the barriers aren't only causing confusion at the intersection, they may potentially pose a threat to his business.
"I think if it stays there for years to come it will. A lot of our business is all drive by. And nobody's driving by no more." says Arnold.
But, Hurricane City Manager, Ben Newhouse, says the barriers were put up for a reason.
Newhouse says, "It's only directed to enhance people to get off the interstate more quickly and to get into those neighborhoods without stopping at the light and backing up traffic for a long, long time."
But Arnold plans to address the Hurricane City Council to see if there's another way to cut down traffic, without cutting down on his customers.
"I'd like to see the city work with us and keep Putnam Avenue open." says Arnold.
