A South Charleston woman says a satellite company ripped up her home.
Star Conner of South Charleston says after she asked DIREC-TV to install her satellite TV the job was sub-contracted to Skylink based out of Hurricane. She asked that the satellite dish not be placed on her roof and holes not be drilled through her walls. Instead, she got the exact opposite. She's filed a claim but she doesn't seem to be getting a response from anyone. So, she says the company needs to pay for nearly 5 thousand dollars worth of damages. The Attorney General's office says she's not the first to be in this kind of situation.
Conner says, "The atroscity of it is that he even knew i was going to put in a washer and dryerand he still chose to drill through my backdoor all the way through the laundry room and leave a great big old cord stretched across."
Norman Googel of the Attorney General's office says, "I think if you have a situation where the consumer says i don't want it done this way then the contractor should honor that. "
Conner says when she contacted the Attorney General's office they said since 2006 they had seen about 450 cases across West Virginia that dealt with DIREC-TV .
Conner says never leave leave the side of whoever is installing your satellite TV. Skylink is yet to return our calls.
