700 people who live in Boyd County, Kentucky are now ready for flu season.
The Ashland Boyd County Health Department offered the free vaccines on a first come, first serve basis.
Drivers didn't even need to get out of their vehicles.
"I didn't even have to get out of the car," Herb Charles said. "It was very convenient and I appreciate it."
83 year old Eugene Davis also loves the idea of beating the flu, while using the drive-thru.
"Very nice," he said. "I wish they'd do this every year.
Kristy Bolen works with the Boyd County Health Dept. and says in just over two hours all the vaccinations were gone. She says that speaks volumes for not only those getting the shot, but also her staff.
"I think it's phenomenal for our staff," Bolen said. "I'm really, really proud of everyone today. I think everyone did a really good job."
If you live in Boyd County and would like a flu shot, the Boyd County Health Dept. still has plenty available. However, they will now cost $23.
