MATEWAN STABBING Troopers Make An Arrest in Stabbing

Leonard Ingersoll, 31, of Red Jacket is charged with malicious wounding. Troopers caught Ingersoll after a foot pursuit. He allegedly stabbed John Charles, 46, of Matewan in the neck with a pocket knife during an argument. The West Virginia State Police say Charles is expected to recover from his injuries. Mingo County deputies also helped in that investigation.
