A teenage girl is in critical condition after being shot in the face.
Her injuries were originally thought to be potentially fatal, but she has improved.
Now Charleston Police are on the hunt for who's responsible.
Eyewitness News has exclusive video of police as they hit several houses looking for anyone with information.
Two separate shootings happened last night.
In one case, police say a shooting victim and a man asked for a ride to the hospital from Laidley Field around 1:20 Wednesday morning.
The woman who drove them told police she helped the girl into the emergency room and when she returned the man was running down Brooks Street.
Several tips came into police but after knocking on doors nothing turned up.
Another incident happened on the West Side, police say two black men tried to break into Josh and Brad Thompson's apartment.
Police say shots were fired into the apartment, one went into the refrigerator.
The brothers suffered only minor injuries including a broken hand.
If you have any information on either shooting call the Charleston Police Department at (304)348-6480.
