Huntington Police are still investigating a domestic disturbance call at Mayor David Felinton's house.
Mayor Felinton hopes Huntington voters will focus on the issues and not his or his opponents personal life.
Early Sunday morning police were called to his 7th Street home after his wife Bethany called 911.
When police arrived, there was a broken wine glass on the front porch and personal belongings scattered on the front yard.
According to a police report neither the mayor nor his wife had any injuries.
Felinton says his wife has been under a lot of stress, and today says he hopes voters focus on the issues. "It shouldn't be about family issues. It should be about vision , should be about what you plan on doing, and how effective you can be for the city."
Felinton is seeking his third term as Huntington's mayor, and fighting current Cabell County Sheriff Kim Wolfe for the job.
In a phone interview Wolfe said "I hope the people of Huntington will vote for who can lead them best, and not let our personal lives affect their decision come election day."
Eyewitness News has filed a Freedom of Information Act to hear the 911 tapes from Sunday morning.
We will bring them to you as soon as they are released.
