The audio seems to depict Bayer Cropscience Officials stonewalling emergency dispatchers who were asking for details.
Plant employees would only say there was an emergency in progress, but that the company wouldn't let them provide more information, such as what happened or exactly where it occurred.
Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper wrote Bayer a letter expressing great concern regarding the company's response. He says their actions violated government reporting requirements, and the emergency plan.
