Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is making her mark in the political arena. For the first time along with millions of people across America, West Virginians heard the Republican's pick for Vice President speak during the Republican National Convention.
Governor Palin talked about the importance of oil independence and why experienced candidates are a must, things important to West Virginians.
Many people we talked with say her ideas are well grounded, and her goal to turn the U.S. into an oil independent nation is well liked. But there are some who feel her ideas aren't well thought out and are unrealistic saying there's no way to move away from foreign oil.
Others knocked Palin's ability to run a household focusing in on her pregnant teenage daughter.
Overall, people we talked with say Palin "can" inspire and her speech and V.P nomination are major turning points in the history of american politics.
