Huntington Police officers on the scene say that the robber and the victim exchanged gun fire at some point.
One person was hit in the leg.
The other suffered life-threatening injuries to his torso during the gun battle.
Both were taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital for surgery.
Officers are still at the apartment complex collecting evidence.
