The infamous blue haze has returned to the Kanawha Valley.
Residents saw a thick blue haze descending on St. Albans and Nitro on Friday morning.
Some people say it smelled like garbage while others thought it smelled like chlorine.
This isn't the first time residents have seen the mysterious haze.
Steve Snow of Dunbar says,"Yeah it's a little darker this time and heavier haze."
The haze appeared at the end of January, the end of March and at the end of June.
A spokesman for the John Amos Power plant says he doesn't know of anything unusual coming from the plant, but the company is investigating the emissions numbers.
