We're learning more about the two men accused of shooting Pastor Mark McCalla to death last month.
Stephen Wilson and Daniel Smith spent six months at Fort Drum army base in New York before going AWOL in early May.
It's unclear what brought the men to West Virginia, but court documents say they were staying at a fellow soldier's home close to the Beech Fork shooting range where McCalla's body was found.
Police documents say the two admitted to the murder before fleeing to Columbus where they were arrested.
Wilson's father hasn't said much, but did tell the Cincinnati Enquirer "This is a completely different kid than we ever knew. This is completely out of his normal character. It's unfathomable. We don't believe how he could be involved with something like this. But that is not an excuse."
The men will have an extradition hearing Wednesday, and also face desertion charges by the US Army.
