The food tax reduction in the Mountain State is now official. It's down from 4% to 3% Tuesday. This is the last phase of the tax reduction, since lawmakers decided to start dropping the food tax from 6% in 2005.
West Virginian's are still paying more for food than neighbors in bordering states. There is no tax on food in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky and Maryland.
