It may only have five electoral votes, but West Virginia very well could be a key swing state in November. With that in mind, Republican John McCain visited St. Albans Friday.
John McCain only spent about an hour in West Virginia, but during he brief visit the senator listened to the important issues of his supporters. McCain stopped by Saint Albans Gun and Archery for some shopping and advice. From fishing lures to luring support, McCain hit the ground running during his short visit. Grant Mason and his four-year-old son Reece were part of the lucky few who got to meet the senator.
Grant Mason says, "I think he'll go up well against Hillary or Barack."
Shop owner, Jeff Beane says he was a McCain supporter before the visit, but after meeting him face to face, he likes what he hears. He says was honored to help McCain solve his pesky problem of an uncatchable catfish.
Jeff Beane says, "We went back and found him a pole I guarantee wont break."
After he left West Virginia, McCain headed to Louisville, Kentucky for a National Rifle Association Convention.
