Hillary Clinton was not the only woman to win big in the Mountain State during Tuesday's primary. Natalie Tennant beat Joe Delong for the Democratic nomination for Secretary of State. Tennant credits her victory to understanding what people in West Virginia want.
Margaret Workman also came out ahead, she won one of two spots for the State Supreme Court Justice. Workman was the first woman elected to state office in West Virginia 20 years ago.
Another big race will match two women against each other , Anne Barth will represent the Democratic Party against incumbent Shelley Moore Capito for the 2nd District's Congressional seat.
Tennant, Workman and Republican Candidate for Supreme Court Beth Walker all say it's not surprising West Virginians voted for so many women. The ladies say it's about electing who is best for the job. With the primary over the candidates say the hard work is just beginning, and they will continue to pump their campaigns until the election in November.
