For the first time in nearly 50 years a West Virginia primary election is garnering national attention. Not since John F. Kennedy battled Hubert H. Humphrey in 1960 has a West Virginia primary captured the country's imagination.
With Hillary Clinton expected to handily defeat Barack Obama in Tuesday's primary, CNN brings its "Election Express" bus to cover the West Virginia primary. The network's senior political analyst is in Charleston, lending his voice and expertise to the proceedings. West Virginia is the latest stop for CNN's Election Express. The network is visiting key states prior to ballots being cast. Governor Joe Manchin, who is one of West Virginia's uncommitted superdelegates, says state voters have an important role to play.
The CNN crew is expected to remain in West Virginia until Tuesday's election. In fact, CNN plans to conduct exit polling to figure out why West Virginians vote the way they do on May 13th.
