Former President Bill Clinton made another campaign swing in West Virginia Friday, as he tries to gain support for his wife. Clinton made appearances in Madison, Williamson, Wayne, St. Albans and Ripley on Friday. Polls are favoring Hillary to win in West Virginia, but the ex-president is making a strong effort to run up her popular vote score.
Bill Clinton's popularity is evident in the small coalfield community that he visited on his tour through the Mountain State. More than a thousand people lined up to see him campaign for his wife, Hillary Friday. The latest poll numbers shows her 43 points ahead in the May 13th primary. Clinton made it clear in Boone County that they need to run up the popular vote after the damaging results of last Tuesday's primaries.
Bill Clinton's two day sweep covered a wide area of the Mountain State.
