Sen. Hillary Clinton spoke about the issues affecting West Virginians at the State Capitol Thursday. Although she appeared a little more than an hour behind schedule, Clinton still found an enthusiastic crowd at the Capitol Rotunda.
Coal, high fuel prices, and the war in Iraq were all issues Sen. Hillary Clinton pounded home to the crowd. Clinton is heavily favored to win Tuesday's West Virginia primary, with polls showing her with a 2:1 advantage over Sen. Barack Obama.
On Capitol Hill Thursday, Obama said Clinton has an insurmountable lead in both West Virginia, and Kentucky which votes May 20th. Clinton says she is not taking a Mountain State win for granted, and it will be difficult undoing four years of damage caused by the Bush administration. She stresses she is the right person for the job.
Following her visit here at the Capitol, Clinton headed to South Dakota for more campaigning, and has a stop scheduled for Oregon later Thursday.
