Michael Tabit was first diagnosed with cancer when he was almost three and after two years of treatment the cancer was gone, but the fight was far from over. One day shy of 13 months out of treatment Michael relapsed. It was a discouraging discovery for both Michael and his family, yet they have hope he will fight it.
Cancer is not the Tabit's only worry, the home has suffered years of flooding and now has black mold. The mold in the home has also been found in Michael lungs. The family say the concern for Michael's health grows everyday. Michael's dream of become a firefighter like his father came true, the Boomer Volunteer Fire Department added Michael to the rooster. He was planning to join when he turned 16. His family hopes the early membership will help him recover faster.
If you would like to make a donation to the family, you can go to any United Bank location and donate to the Michael Tabit Fund.
