Firefighters responded to a fire at the former 2152 Club on Greenbrier Street shortly after 11:00 p.m. Thursday night. Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies and firefighters reportedly spotted almost six starters where the fire had originated. Alarms in the vacant building appeared to have been cut and rags soaked in a flammable liquid were found wrapped around key roof supports.

Marshals are expected back on the scene Saturday for further investigation. Firemen say they were surprised the person that called in the fire was able to spot the smoke at night. The damage was confined to the interior except for where the roof was vented.
