The Mountain State is getting a taste of the political fervor that has been gripping the rest of the nation for months. Senator Hillary Clinton was at Capital High School on Wednesday to answer questions ranging from gas prices to the war in Iraq. The former first lady outlined her plan to investigate the cause of high gas prices, tap the strategic oil reserve and push for energy independence. She spent just as much time talking about the war in Iraq, and her plan to begin drawing down the american presence there.
Clinton faces a tough challenge securing the nomination, but the Clintons have had success in West Virginia. Her husband, the former President won West Virginia in both 1992 and 1996.
Senator Clinton's opponent, Barack Obama will make his first West Virginia appearance on Thursday. He will give a speech at the University of Charleston.
