Super Tuesday is just hours away and West Virginia will be a big part of it. 24 states will hold primaries or caucuses, including the Mountain State. The State Republican Convention will take place at the Charleston Civic Center. Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul plan to be in Charleston tomorrow in an effort to influence the vote.
This is the first year the party will pick 18 of its 30 national delegates using the convention format. More than 1,200 delegates from all over the state will vote on which presidential candidate to support. Whoever wins the majority gets all 18 delegates. West Virginia's GOP chairman and the state committeeman and woman will make up three more delegate votes. The remaining will be decided in the May Republican Primary.
The convention starts at 9:00 a.m.
