Saturday was truly a day of celebration for the family of Allyssa Abner. Seeing little Allyssa having fun with her family, is truly a blessing considering all her and her family have been through. She is now able to walk on her own, Allyssa enjoyed a day of fun, family and friends at her homecoming celebration.

Her joyful laughter is intoxicating, and her strength is inspirational. Little Allyssa Abner overcame all odds and is happy and at home with her family.

Allyssa mother, Michelle Abner says, "She loves being home."

Among the many family and friends at her homecoming celebration is the man Allyssa's family will always keep close to their hearts. Tony Hess, who was assisting the Rand Volunteer Fire Department the morning the fire tore through Allyssa's home, was on hand for the celebration. Through the flames he carried little Allyssa limply in his arms to safety. He says seeing her alive is overwhelming.

Rand Volunteer Fireman, Tony Hess says , "It was a little emotional at first, I remember the blue eyes in the ambulance, we all almost lost it going to the hospital. Its nice to see her home."

For two months Allyssa received treatment at Shriners Burn Center in Cincinnati, Ohio for third degree burns that cover over half her little body. Allyssas story touched many hearts, and it is those big hearts that repaired her home. The home itself received a full makeover to make the house liveable for Allyssa and her family again. Thanks to all the support of volunteers trying to find Allyssa a new place to stay is no longer a problem.
