Deputies are coming up with a new ways to catch meth makers and find the drug that still poses a big problem in Kanawha County.
Deputies got to a Sissonville trailer and a mobile home lab near Dunbar quickly by using a different techniques. This time they checked the Pseudoephederine logs at area pharmacies. They compared over 10,000 drug purchases with names of people who have made large numbers of buys. They then referenced those names to tipline or people with past meth arrests.
Charles Dillon Jr., bought the key meth ingredient ten times in five months. Court documents say he confessed to having a lab in a trailer after deputies smelled meth during a so called knock and talk visit. Psuedoephedrine product buyers names are kept at pharmacies, and now cops are using those lists from cooperating drug stores to point them in the right direction.
About 15 deputies took part in Wednesday's meth sting. The county's meth tipline number is 305-357-4693.
