The suspect in a Kanawha County murder admits he did kill a 15-year-old pregnant girl. Jovon Cousins pleaded guilty to second degree murder charges in the death of Christina Hale.
Cousins admitted he shot Hale in the head at her Cross Lanes home in August of 2004. He was later arrested on drug related charges and sent to a federal prison.
Inmates say Cousins bragged that he murdered a girl, however, he still says the shooting was an accident. An investigation showed that Cousins was angry that Hale was pregnant with someone else's child.
Cousins was indicted on first degree murder charges, even though he was only 17-years-old when the murder happened.
Cousins will be sentenced on January 15th. He faces up to 40 years in prison.
