Buying prescription drugs outside the U.S. might be cheaper and more convenient but it also involves serious risks. Nina Ossana's sister took her own life. After her death, Nina says her sister continued to receive large quantities of prescription drugs from other countries that she had ordered online. Vendors were also calling her sister's cell phone dozens of times each day offering to send even more. Postal inspectors say buying drugs outside the U.S. can be dangerous because other countries don't have the same regulations we do. Telemarketers are also luring customers with cheaper prices and convenience. The elderly, poor and addicted are often easy prey. Postal inspectors and government agents are trying to track down where all of the shipments to Nina's sister originated. The takeaway, know what you are buying and be careful if a deal sounds too good.
