![]() Back to School Cool Gear
The big back to school idea for moms this year is shopping on a budge. Camille Chaterjee of Redbook Magazine says look for your district's class list at the department store. That will help youstay focused, and stay within your budget. And of course, start with the right backpack.
Camille Chaterjee/Redbook Magazine These Embark backpacks are just $14.99, which your probably know is a great price point. They come in a wide variety of colors, so everyone's going to be happy. Always make sure you choose the right style backpack for your child. For example, preschoolers need a smaller size. Camille Chaterjee They are a little bit smaller and you don't have to worry about size, because the bigger the backpack the bigger the load. For your smaller kids, definately look for a smaller pack. That fits their frame better, and will protect their backs. Chaterjee says "Sasquatch" notebooks will be another cool find for inside the backpack. Camille Chaterjee It's from a company called Carolina Pad, that makes high quality stationary and really cute stuff. And what's great is it's made from recycled paper. Most of those products are under five dollars. And if recycled is what your student is into, then Terra Cycle's line of totes and bags will be on your back to school list. They're made from recycled juice pouches and snack wrappers! One of their pencil cases is only a dollar. And aluminum water bottles that you can wash and reuse countless times are about $9.99. And those are just a few of the new trendy items for the back to school shopper in you! Get more vital parenting information with other Baby Steps. |
