Here's a fabulous fall treat that is perfect for a Halloween party. Country Living magazine's editor in chief Nancy Soriano shows you how on Good Morning America.Working Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes to 45 minutes Ingredients Note: double recipe to make three tiers Directions 1. Heat oven to 350°F. 2. Lightly butter and flour a 6", 8" and 10" round cake pans. Place all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat, using a mixer set on medium-high speed, just until batter is smooth. 3. Divide batter evenly between three round pans and bake until a skewer inserted into the center tests clean -- about 25 minutes for the 6", 30 minutes for the 8", and 35 minutes for the 10" pan. 4. Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting or decorating. Prepare Honey & Spice Buttercream Frosting. Stack tiers, spreading frosting evenly between three layers. Honey and Spice Buttercream Frosting Working Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes Ingredients Directions 1. Combine the gelatin and two tablespoons water in a small bowl, and let sit for 10 minutes. Bring the honey, sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce heat to low and simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for three minutes. Stir two tablespoons of honey mixture into gelatin until dissolved. Whisk in remaining honey syrup along with salt and cinnamon. 2. Strain into a medium-size bowl and beat, using a mixer on high speed, until doubled in volume and completely cool -- about 10 minutes. 3. Add butter, two tablespoons at a time, while continuously beating. Once all butter is added, stir in vanilla. Use immediately or keep chilled.
