Christmas Cherry TrifleFrom pastry chef Roland Mesnier
1. You will need to make a yellow cake layered with raspberry preserves (cut the cake into 1 inch cubes). 2. In a separate bowl, you will fold togther pastry cream, whipped cream and port.
4. Repeat layering. 5. Top with thin layer of sweetened whipped cream. 6. Put rosettes around the rim. 7. Garnish with fresh cherries and other Christmas decorations. Recipe courtesy of Roland Mesnier, Chief White House Pastry Chef, copyright 2001.
