Juju Chang Anchor, "World News This Morning" on WCHS-TV8
JuJu Chang was named anchor of the ABC News early morning news program, "World News This Morning" and the network's overnight broadcast, "World News Now" in January of 1999. In addition, she continues to provide reports for "World News Tonight," "Good Morning America" and "20/20."Before January, Ms. Chang was a New York-based correspondent for ABC News, reporting primarily for "Good Morning America" and "World News Saturday/Sunday." Previously, Ms. Chang covered Washington news and breaking national stories for "NewsOne," ABC's affiliate news service. Ms. Chang has covered the White House, Capitol Hill and the presidential election. She reported from the Republican National Convention in San Diego and the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Ms. Chang has also reported a number of major national stories, including the TWA and ValuJet plane crashes. Prior to her "NewsOne" assignment in Washington, Ms. Chang was a reporter for KGO-TV in San Francisco, where she covered a variety of stories including crime, Bay Area issues and the wildfires and floods in Northern California. Ms. Chang has also served as a producer and off-air reporter for ABC News. Her assignments included producing spot news and "American Agenda" stories for "World News Tonight With Peter Jennings." She was a producer of the "World News Tonight With Peter Jennings" series on women's health, which won a duPont Award. Ms. Chang's off-air reporting assignments have included the Tom Harkin presidential campaign in 1992. During the Gulf War in 1991, she was based in Dharan. She graduated with honors from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in political science and communication. At Stanford she was awarded the Edwin Cotrell Political Science Prize. Ms. Chang was born in Seoul, Korea, and grew up in Sunnyvale, California. Need to write? |
