Jeffrey D. Sams Vince Lewis on Wasteland Jeffrey D. Sams brings to "Wasteland" an impressive list of film credits, including "Soul Food," "Waiting to Exhale," "Just Write," "Prep"; and "Fly By Night," winner of the Trophy Award at the Sundance film festival in 1995. Sams also has an extensive list of television credits, including the Goldie Hawn-directed film, "Hope"; the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, "Rose Hill"; and a part as a personal trainer accused of murder in a "Law & Order" trilogy. Sams has starred as a series regular on such shows as "Cupid," "Sleepwalkers" and "Courthouse." In addition, he had a recurring role on the long-running series, "Living Single," and has guest-starred on "Early Edition," "Boston Common" and "The Commish." On the Broadway stage, Sams has appeared in "The Old Settler" and "Five Guys Named Moe." He has also appeared in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Goodman Theater in Chicago. Other theater credits include "Little Shop of Horrors," "Julius Caesar" and "Big River." Sams was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Lisa. The couple are expecting their first child. Sams actively supports Equity Fighting AIDS and, through SAG and AFTRA, Book Pals, an organization that promotes literacy and early education. |
