Dan Montgomery Russell on Wasteland
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dan Montgomery was involved in everything from sports to trouble. His first taste of acting came when he portrayed the "clumsy elephant" in his third-grade class' production of "The Jungle Book."Subsequently, Montgomery dabbled in theater throughout high school and college and spent two years working, going to school and traveling through Europe. Following his education, he packed his bags, moved to California and eventually broke into the business by first landing jobs "behind the scenes." As fate would have it, he soon ended up in front of the camera in the independent film, "The Little Death," with J.T. Walsh and Dwight Yoakam. After taking a long trip to Australia and Indonesia, Montgomery landed a commercial agent and received a scholarship to the Howard Fine Acting Studio. He began working steadily doing commercials and had a guest-starring stint on "Diagnosis Murder." Soon after, he co-starred in various independent films, such as "The Last Man" with Jeri Ryan and "Red Dirt" with Karen Black. Currently, Montgomery resides in Los Angeles. His hobbies include golf, surfing, carpentry and reading. |
