Every morning at 0800 hours, the President of the United States is given a report that outlines the most active international and domestic threats against the United States. This document is called the Threat Matrix. To combat these threats, the President, through the Department of Homeland Security, has created a highly specialized, elite task force whose mission is to keep our country safe from enemies determined to destroy our way of life.

"Threat Matrix" is a one-hour drama about this team whose expertise and use of cutting-edge technology helps them fight the many faces of terror. Taking audiences behind the headlines and into the world of homeland security, "Threat Matrix" dramatizes what we are doing in the world of homeland security, why we are doing it and whether or not it is working.

The leader of this unit is Special Agent John Kilmer. The brilliant 42-year-old former FBI agent has White House authorization to call upon the technical skills, firepower and the specialist agents of the FBI, CIA and NSA, among others. Kilmer reports only to Colonel Roger Atkins, the gruff and shrewd operations liaison to the President. Kilmer's ex-wife, Special Agent Frankie Ellroy-Kilmer, is a 35-year-old, highly trained interrogation expert and 'profiler' whose skills allow her to crack even the most hardened enemies.

Based in the "Vault" located at Fort Meade, the rest of Kilmer's dedicated team includes Mo, a 34-year-old Egyptian-American former CIA operative stationed in the Middle East; Lia "Lark" Larkin, a 36-year-old former FBI forensics specialist; Tim Serrano, a 28-year-old DEA agent from Miami; and Jelani, a 24-year-old African-American computer genius who intercepts phone, fax and radio signals from around the world and supports the team with the latest NSA technology.

"Threat Matrix" stars James Denton as John Kilmer, Kelly Rutherford as Frankie Ellroy Kilmer, Will Lyman at Colonel Roger Atkins, Kurt Caceres as Tim Serrano, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali as Jelani, Melora Walters as Lia Larkins ("Lark") and Anthony Azizi as Mo.

The series is executive-produced and created by Daniel Voll. Michael Edelstein, Jim Parriott, Emile Levisetti and Keith Addis are executive producers. "Threat Matrix" is from Industry Entertainment in association with Touchstone Television.
