Marla Sokolff Lucy Hatcher On "The Practice"
As sassy assistant Lucy Hatcher on ABC's "The Practice," Marla Sokoloff has caught the attention of audiences across the country. She holds her own among the show's award-winning cast and consistently delivers delightfully feisty performances. On the big screen Sokoloff most recently starred in the dark comedy "Sugar and Spice," opposite Marley Shelton, James Marsden and Mena Suvari, and in "Dude, Where's My Car?," an outrageous comedy co-starring Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott. Last year she made her mark in the feature film "Whatever It Takes," a modern-day Cyrano de Bergerac tale set in high school. Co-starring with Shane West, Sokoloff played Maggie, the best friend of Ryan (West) and, ultimately, the girl of his dreams. She also starred in the VH1 original triology "Strange Frequency." Born and raised in San Francisco, Sokoloff moved to Los Angeles in 1994 and enrolled in the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts, where she studied theater and music. She won numerous awards and accolades for her singing and performed the national anthem at such high-profile events as Oakland A's baseball games and for the U.S.O. Soon after moving to Los Angeles, Sokoloff began landing roles on popular television series, including "Full House," "Party of Five," "3rd Rock From the Sun" and "7th Heaven." She also starred in the feature films "The Babysitters Club," "True Crime" and the independent movie "The Climb," opposite John Hurt. Sokoloff is single and currently resides in Los Angeles.
