Lara Flynn Boyle
Helen Gamble on "The Practice"

Lara Flynn Boyle stars as Helen Gamble in the series, "The Practice." Her most recent feature film appearance was in 1997's "Afterglow," directed by Alan Rudolph, starring Nick Nolte and Julie Christie.

Lara's past film credits include "Equinox," also directed by Alan Rudolph; "Red Rock West," directed by John Dahl; Alan Parker's "The Road to Wellville," Clint Eastwood's "The Rookie," Penelope Spheeris' "Wayne's World" and Mark Rocco's "Where the Day Takes You."

Lara got her first big break when she starred in David Lynch's "Twin Peaks" for ABC. She also starred in the highly publicized movie for television, "The Preppy Murder."

A native of Chicago, Lara began her career upon graduation from The Chicago Academy for the Arts. Free time for Lara includes recreational activities with her four dogs -- Bella, Rory, Lucy and Cleo. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
