Norm Macdonald Norm Henderson on Norm
Norm Macdonald has traveled the long road from the smoke-filled comedy clubs in far-flung outposts of Canada to having an eponymous show on American network television. In the process, he's accumulated an impressive array of television and film credits.Landing the anchor's seat on "Saturday Night Live" shot Macdonald to prominence. His offbeat delivery of "the fake news" for five seasons showed Macdonald's range and versatility as a performer and writer, which is the role in which Macdonald started when he came to Los Angeles for his first job as a staff writer on "Roseanne." Macdonald has crossed over screens with work on such films as "Dirty Work," which he also co-wrote; serving as the voice of Lucky the Dog in the hit movie, "Dr. Doolittle"; as well as "Billy Madison" with "Saturday Night Live" alum Adam Sandler and Milos Forman's Academy Award-nominated "The People vs. Larry Flynt." Forthcoming feature film projects for Macdonald include "Foolproof," scripted and co-directed by Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-nominated screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, who wrote "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and the forthcoming Andy Kaufman biopic, "Man on the Moon," in which Macdonald will also appear. Macdonald currently resides in Los Angeles. PERSONAL INFORMATION HOMETOWN: Quebec City, Canada BIRTHDATE: Oct. 17 Need to write? Get important information about How To Write To The Stars |
