Max Wright
Max Denby on Norm

Max Wright is best known as the high-strung father of a suburban family that sheltered an irascible alien visitor in their home on the series, "ALF." He also starred in the series, "Buffalo Bill," "Misfits of Science" and "Dudley"; and had guest-starring roles on "Cheers," "Friends," "Murder, She Wrote," "Taxi" and "WKRP in Cincinnati." He also starred in the made-for-television movies, "Playing for Time" and "Dead By Midnight"; and the miniseries, "From the Earth to the Moon."

Wright has appeared in numerous films, including "All That Jazz," "Reds," "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Snow Falling on Cedars."

On stage, Wright received the Callaway Award, a Tony nomination and a Drama Desk nomination for his work in "Ivanov." On Broadway, he appeared in "The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel," "The Cherry Orchard," "The Inspector General," "Lunch Hour," "Once in a Lifetime," "Richard III" and "Stages." More recently, Wright completed "Twelfth Night" with Helen Hunt at Lincoln Center.
